Even though I will continue to support the app as well as the devs, I think maybe quarterly feature updates that you have to pay a upgrade fee would be cool or even a decently priced upgrade charge for the yr. To be honest Twitter should pay Tapbots for their designs and efficiency of the app.

I paid good money for Tweetbot in the past. I realize developing a good application takes time and money, and IвЂ™m all for supporting developers. Tweetbot 6 brings all of that and more to the tableвЂ”time will tell how much moreвЂ”but IвЂ™m not sure the added features make it worth it the shift in business model. Fortunately, Tweetbot 5 was a stellar app, and in spite of TwitterвЂ™s stinginess with their API for all those years was full of really nice features. Professional software suites like Adobe can get away with it for the reason that their alternatives donвЂ™t have the same market share and integration, but as a third party social media client, youвЂ™re already the underdog, and youвЂ™ve got more convincing to do to get me to use your product.
